Built on a slope in overhang of the channel of the very close Loire, the commune of the Beaulieu-on-Loire counts today over 1800 inhabitants. The origin of this city goes up with year 406, period during which the Gallo-Roman city of Gannes was destroyed. Beaulieu preserved of its prestigious past a middle ages configuration which makes today its charm and its principal tourist attraction.
